This hair removal system emits a very selective light beam that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, which is responsible for its color. In this manner it burns the follicle and the matrix containing the hair, but the skin is never damaged.

The sessions should be once every month and a half to two months. Failure to keep up with these intervals decreases the effectiveness of treatment, which ultimately makes more sessions necessary.

Alexandrite laser hair removal has a number of characteristics which require preparation of the hir to be treated for maximum effectiveness.

On the day of treatment, the hair must be 1 to 2 millimeters long. This can be achieved by shaving or using hair removal cream five days before each session.
