Dr. Mato earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and is a specialist in general and gastrointestinal surgery. He completed his specialty in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Carlos Chagas University in Rio de Janeiro (1986-89) under the advisement of Professor Ivo Pitanguy, who is also a personal friend.
He has performed over 10,000 operations and has been internationally recognized for his operations performed without visible scars, principally in breast surgery (augmentation, lifting and reduction), and facial rejuvenation, noted for their natural-looking results. He also specializes in body and leg liposuction, rhinoplasty, botox, fillers, abdominoplasty, bariatric surgery and antiaging treatments.
Dr. Javier Mato Ansorena is founder and director of Mato Ansorena Clinics, open since 1995. Mato Ansorena Clinics also offer many other kinds of cosmetic medical treatments without surgery, utilizing the latest technology and performed by the best specialists in: facial rejuvenation, fillers, peels, mesotherapy, body treatments, cellulite and fat removal, etc. Other available services include our pain unit, anti-aging medicine, dermatology, physiotherapy, and dietetics and nutrition.
