Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery has been a common procedure for quite a long time now. Its goal is to relocate a breast which, for various reasons, has lost its natural position.

Pre-operation

We perform a pre-operation overview including a complete medical analysis (hepatitis / AIDS) and electrocardiogram. If the patient is over 40 years, a chest x-ray is also required.

 Surgery

The procedure lasts two to three hours and is usually performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis or with overnight hospitalization, depending on the individual case and the preferences of the patient.

Before choosing the most appropriate technique for each case it is necessary to assess breast size, symmetry and gland composition (amount of fat as opposed to mammary gland tissue).

Post-operation

The post-operative period lasts about a week, depending on the individual results of each operation. For the first few days is will be necessary to take antibiotics and pain medications to reduce discomfort. After this period you can return to your normal daily life.
