Cosmetic Chin Surgery
There are two possible techniques to repair a hypoplastic chin (a small chin that looks tucked back under the face): one is Lipostructure, the other is using a silicone implant to give prominence to the chin.

Pre-operation
We perform a pre-operation overview including a complete medical analysis (hepatitis / AIDS) and electrocardiogram. If the patient is over 40 years, a chest x-ray is also required.
Surgery
The surgery is done under local anesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis. If the procedure is being done with a solid silicone implant (specially designed for that area), it is inserted inside the mouth and placed between the chin bone and skin. If the lipostructure technique is chosen, the patient’s own fat is removed by liposuction, refined and purified, and reintroduced into the area by micropuncture.
Post-operation
The postoperative period is not painful, but there may be discomfort that can be easily treated with common pain relief medicine.
