Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is the surgical procedure for removal of excess skin on the upper eyelid (upper blepharoplasty) or for the removal of bags under the eyes (lower blepharoplasty). These bags can appear in young people between 27 and 35 years of age, but are most common in people in their 30s.

Pre-operation We perform a pre-operation overview including a complete medical analysis (hepatitis / AIDS) and electrocardiogram. If the patient is over 40 years, a chest x-ray is also required. Surgery
Blepharoplasty is quick and convenient: it lasts about an hour and a half and is performed under local anesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis. Blepharoplasty preserves the orbicularis muscle through a minimal incision in the conjunctiva, allowing the scar to be hidden on the inside of the eyelid, invisible from the outside. Through this small incision the bags are repositioned or removed, depending on the amount of fat they contain. Postoperative
This is a minimally invasive operation, with very pleasing and visible results: that unpleasant look of weariness that makes the face look aged suddenly disappears. There is no post-operative pain and stitches are removed after four or five days.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will the shape of the eyes change? No. The purpose of this operation is to make the eyes appear larger and more awake, giving you back a youthful and expressive appearance.
Will I have to wear sunglasses? For a month after surgery you should wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun. Does cause much bruising? After the operation, there will probably be some swelling and/or bruising in the periorbital area, which should go down almost completely if ice is applied to the area in the first 24 to 48 hours. Will the scar be visible? Upper blepharoplasty will leave a scar, but it is hardly noticeable because it is performed on the upper lid sulcus. No scar is left in lower blepharoplasty because the removal of the bags is done through the conjunctiva.
