Arm Lifting Surgery

Arm lift surgery is designed for people who find their skin is limp and sagging from the arms. In cases where there is also an excess of fat, the lift is combined with liposuction.

 Pre-operation


We perform a pre-operation overview including a complete medical analysis (hepatitis / AIDS) and electrocardiogram. If the patient is over 40 years, a chest x-ray is also required.



Surgery

This surgical technique is performed on the humoral area and consists of removing excess skin from the arms that has begun to sag because it has lost its elasticity and firmness with age or significant weight changes. It is performed under local anesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis.


Post-operation

After surgery there will be some discomfort and the area treated will feel tense. This is easily treatable with with common analgesics combined with two days of rest. You will be able to return to work after about 10 days.

Will I need any special care after surgery?

After the first month following surgery, you should exercise to prevent the skin from starting to sag again.

What are the possible complications?

The risks involved in arm lifts are the same as in any other surgical procedure: complications from anesthesia, bleeding or infection.

Will there be visible scars?

In this type of procedure the incision is made on the inside of the arm, and although the scar is small and thin it will always be visible. For this reason, it is recommended only in specific cases.
