Stage 2: Dietary Re-education
Description
In Stage 2, all the elements of a balanced diet are gradually reincorporated into the program: carbohydrates, proteins and natural fats. The target weight agreed upon with the doctor is achieved in this period of the method.
Throughout the Pronokal Method ®, the team of dieticians-nutritionists work with the doctor at Mato Ansorena Clinics and also offer advice to the patient on a regular basis. The aim is to advise the patient when it is time to consolidate their new dietary habits, as this is ultimately one of the main objectives of the method.
During this phase, which consists of 5 stages (3, 4, 5, 6 and 7), the patient begins a program of reintroduction of the different food groups into their diet. This stage begins when the patient has lost 80 % of the weight agreed upon and recommended by the doctor. The reintroduction of the different food groups is for the patient to acquire healthy and balanced eating habits, which is the main objective of the Pronokal Method®.
Procedure
*Proteins of high biological value (Pronokal ® products).
*Reintroduction of fruit, bread, starches and fats in predetermined stages.
*Complements: salt, potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamins and minerals
Objective
At this point, the patient’s goal should be to achieve 80% loss of weight as determined by the doctor.
The main objective of the Pronokal® Method at this stage of rehabilitation is to ensure that the patient adopts a lifestyle centered on good, healthy eating habits.
