Food sensitivity test

Considering that 20 to 30% of the world's population is sensitive to some of the most common foods, which involves a number of difficulties and disorders that make leading a normal life impossible, it would be interesting to know through a blood test which foods affect us.

WHAT IS THE FOOD SENSITIVITY TEST?

test-sensibilidad-alimentaria

Without knowing, any of us can be one of these people whose quality of life can improve significantly if we first know the foods that harm us and then completely eliminate from our diets.

The test detects antibodies (IgG) against a range of foods (ELISA Technique). Antibodies are proteins the body makes to defend against external aggression, whether from bacteria, virus, foods that upset our stomachs or that we are allegric to.

WHO SHOULD TAKE A FOOD SENSITIVITY TEST?

If you have any of these clinical manifestations, do not hesitate to contact us:

- Gastrointestinal disorders such as slow digestion, excessive gas, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome. In general medicine, stuffy nose, headaches, eczemas and chronic skin rashes.

- In pediatrics, symptoms similar to those listed above, including what is often called "infantile colitis" and "chronic enteropathy,” usually due to problems with milk and dairy products, eggs, soy and nuts, hyperactivity and later development of food allergies.

- With obesity, many people who do not eat excessively but are still overweight and are not helped by diets manage to improve their diet by completely eliminating foods to which they are sensitive.

  • In sports some very interesting recent studies have helped increase physical performance through the elimination of certain harmful substances related to the antigen-antibody reaction that takes place in food sensitivity.

Once we have the results, we must follow the nutritional guidelines offered by our nutritionist.

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?

Based on the results of the test, we must eliminate foods the body is clearly sensitive to:
(IgG + + +, + +,) as well as those where the degree of sensitivity is uncertain (IgG +).

After a period of a month and half to two months, the foods we are uncertain of may be reincorporated into the diet, about one food per week and always watching for the possible side effects. Later you can make the final decision on whether to retain or delete them from your usual diet.

If the purpose of the study is weight loss, the elimination of foods that can be problematic should be accompanied by carefully watching calorie intake.

In short, this analysis will help us lose weight and improve our health.
